Intel Xeon Gold 5317 Processor - 3.0GHz, 18MB Cache debuted in Q2'21 as part of Intel's Ice Lake family, delivering a balanced blend of performance and server-grade features for modern data centers.

This Intel® Xeon® Gold 5317 (3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable) offers 12 cores and 24 threads with a base frequency of 3.0 GHz and a turbo boost up to 3.6 GHz, making it well suited for mixed workloads that require both single-thread responsiveness and multi-thread throughput.

The processor uses 10 nm lithography and fits LGA 4189 sockets in a tray package, with an 18 MB cache and a TDP of 150 W. It supports up to 6 TB of DDR4-SDRAM across octa-channel memory at up to 2933 MHz, including ECC support for mission-critical reliability.

With 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes and a system bus rate of 11.2 GT/s, the CPU enables high I/O throughput for NVMe, accelerators, and network adapters. It also scales to 2-socket (2S) configurations for larger server builds and cloud deployments.
