Bruichladdich The Organic 2011

Bruichladdich The Organic 2011

£75.90 - £81.00
DISTILLERY - Since Bruichladdich’s resurrection in 2001, our ambitions have gone beyond the simple idea of making and selling single malt scotch whisky. Our goal was to be an antidote to the industry norm. FARM - Mid Coul farm, located close to Inverness in the north of Scotland, provided our first crop of Organic barley back in 2003. A progressive 2,755 acre estate, Mid Coul has a closed-loop fertility system that generates electricity using an anaerobic digestor while allowing almost all waste material to be recycled as fertiliser. TASTING NOTES - Its light amber hue heralds notes of Crème brulee, melon, stone fruits, and lemon zest, followed by oak, caramel, and honeyed barley sweetness. The palate offers a velvety texture, honeyed citrus, toasted oak, vanilla, pear, and melon, with subtle maritime elements. The finish, marked by golden syrup sweetness, wood spices, and tropical fruit hints, completes this exceptional journey of flavour. ORGANIC - With no artificial input, barley is fertilised from the ground up and is therefore the purest expression of its terroir – the soil, the climate and geographical location of where it is grown. IDEAL GIFT - This whisky makes the ideal gift for a work colleague, friend or simply yourself!
