ASRock Z890 Steel Legend WiFi Motherboard - DDR5, LGA1851, WiFi 7

ASRock Z890 Steel Legend WiFi Motherboard - DDR5, LGA1851, WiFi 7 arrives as a robust ATX platform designed for Intel’s latest LGA 1851 CPUs and high-frequency DDR5 memory, offering enthusiasts and professionals a modern foundation for powerful systems.

The motherboard is built on the Intel Z890 chipset and supports Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors in the LGA 1851 (Socket V1). With an ATX form factor measuring 305 mm x 244 mm, the board balances expansion potential and case compatibility for gaming rigs, workstations, and content-creation builds.

Memory support includes four DIMM slots for DDR5-SDRAM up to a massive 256 GB total and rated speeds up to 9466 MHz, non-ECC. This enables heavy multitasking, large memory pools for virtual machines, and demanding creative applications where fast RAM matters.

Storage and expandability are comprehensive, with M.2 and SATA III interfaces and RAID support (0, 1, 5, 10) for performance or redundancy. Expansion slots include PCIe Gen5 x16, PCIe Gen4 x16 and PCIe Gen4 x4 options, allowing modern GPUs plus additional cards like high-speed NVMe adapters or capture cards.

Connectivity is a highlight: integrated Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) with dual antenna jacks and Bluetooth 5.4 deliver next‑generation wireless speeds and low latency, while a Dragon RTL8125BG 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port gives wired networks a fast backbone. The rear I/O includes multiple USB ports (USB 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen1, Gen2, and a Gen2x2), two Thunderbolt ports, and an HDMI 2.1 output.

Audio and system control are professional-grade with a Realtek ALC1220 codec providing 7.1-channel output, support for multiple fan headers (two CPU fan connectors and five chassis fan connectors), TPM header, RGB LED pin header, and dual 8-pin EPS connectors to support high-core-count CPUs under heavy load.

Typical use cases include high-end gaming PCs that demand PCIe Gen5 GPU support and Wi‑Fi 7 connectivity, content-creation workstations that leverage large DDR5 capacities and high-speed storage, and enthusiast overclocking rigs that need robust power delivery and extensive cooling control. The white aesthetic of the Steel Legend suits clean, modern builds where component appearance matters.
