The Canon G650 uses inkjet print technology with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 DPI, producing sharp colour prints and rich photo output. It supports direct printing and a full colour palette including Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Grey for more accurate tones.

Although duplex printing and duplex scanning are not supported, the G650 includes convenient copying functions: colour copying, an N-in-1 copy function (2 and 4-up) and an ID-card copy mode, with a maximum copy count of up to 99 pages. Scanning is handled by a flatbed CIS scanner with an optical resolution of 600 x 1200 DPI, 16-bit input colour and greyscale depth and 8-bit output greyscale depth, delivering faithful digital reproductions of photos and documents for archiving or editing.
