HPE Xeon Silver 4214 Processor - 12-Core, 2.2GHz, LGA 3647 delivers balanced server performance from Intel’s 2nd Generation Xeon Scalable family, introduced as part of the Cascade Lake lineup.

This Intel Xeon Silver 4214 is a 12-core / 24-thread server CPU with a 2.2 GHz base frequency and up to 3.2 GHz boost, designed for demanding multi-threaded server and workstation workloads. With a 16.5 MB L3 cache and support for AVX-512 instructions, it accelerates data‑intensive compute tasks while keeping latency low.

Built on a 14 nm process with LGA 3647 (Socket P) packaging, the processor targets the server market and supports up to 1 TB of DDR4 memory across hexa-channel memory banks at 2400 MHz. ECC memory support, two UPI links and up to 48 PCIe 3.0 lanes ensure robust connectivity and reliability for enterprise deployments.

The Xeon Silver 4214 is power-efficient for its class, with a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 85 W and a Tcase rating of 77 °C. It does not include a cooler, so compatible server platforms such as the HPE DL360 Gen10 series require appropriate thermal solutions during installation.

Security and virtualization features are extensive, including Intel VT-x, VT-d, AES-NI, Intel Trusted Execution Technology, Intel Run Sure and support for Mode‑based Execute Control and Intel TSX‑NI.
