HPE Xeon Bronze 3106 - 1.7 GHz Processor - 8 Cores is a server-class CPU based on Intel’s Skylake architecture, designed for reliable compute in dense datacenter environments.
This 1st Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor, model 3106, operates at a base frequency of 1.7 GHz and provides 8 physical cores with 8 threads, making it a balanced choice for entry-level multi-socket server deployments.
Built on a 14 nm process and belonging to the Intel Xeon Bronze 3000 Series, the chip includes 11 MB of L3 cache and supports 64-bit operating modes for modern server workloads. Its Thermal Design Power (TDP) is 85 W and the specified Tcase is 77 °C.
Memory support is strong for this class: the processor addresses up to 768 GB of DDR4-SDRAM across hexa-channel memory configuration at 2133 MHz and supports ECC for increased system reliability. It also provides up to 48 PCI Express lanes (PCIe 3.0) for expansion and I/O flexibility.
Although cooler is not included, the LGA 3647 (Socket P) package and compatibility with platforms such as the HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 make it straightforward to integrate into many server and workstation systems. The part is designed for 2-socket (2S) scalability and has embedded options available.
The processor implements a wide range of Intel technologies: AVX, AVX2, AVX-512, SSE4.2 instruction sets, Enhanced SpeedStep, Intel AES-NI, Speed Shift, TSX-NI, Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x), Intel Trusted Execution Technology and is Intel 64 capable.
