A consumer Nikon SLR camera is the Nikon D7000 which has high end technology in a smaller camera. It boasts a 16.2 MP image sensor and has the same ISO range as the professional Nikon SLR camera, the Nikon D3X, of 100 up to 1600.

Another consumer Nikon SLR camera is the D5100 which is designed for the photographer to be creative. It is able to take a 16.2 MP picture, which gives lifelike images with strong colours. It also has a much higher ISO range taking it from 100 up to 6400, meaning it is excellent to use in dark areas, enabling you to take an excellent photograph.
