After a mere year of owning this product, I find that I am unable to realign the printer heads enough to actually get a quality black ink printed page. I have purchased more than 20 replacement ink cartridges, and go through them very quickly. I do not do much home printing at all. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpfulExcellent dpi for outstanding prints on both A4 (Borderless prints) and CDs! One major flaw is the cartridge system. Six seperate ink cartridges are used but installing them into the cartridge bay involves manually breaking the seals to lock them onto the print head. This causes leaking of ink around the sealing onto print surfaces and blocking of print heads. Beware. Read Full Review »

Because the ink is seperate from the print head there is no perceivable loss in print quality by using other suppliers ink replacements. It costs me £7 for a full set of replacement inks.
