Very well built camera
Canon Ixus 850 IS By Anonymous (19/06/2007)
- Pros: Durable metal casing, large controls and easy menu setup
- Cons: A bit heavy and bigger than the other Ixus
Great image quality with wideangle zoom up to 3.8x
Has the capability to go up to ISO 1600 for low lighting environment, but also increase noise in the image.

Very durable with the metal casing and battery life is ok not great. Read Full Review »

Canon Ixus 850 is - a Large WOW Factor !

- Pros: Picture Quality, Style, Wide Angle lens, Image stabilisation
- Cons: Minor Red Eye irritation
I wanted a compact digital camera offering quality lens, ease of use, wide angle capability, image stabilisation picture quality with enough pixels to allow cropping and enlarged picture size of 16x12 inches. Research boiled down to two contenders, Panasonic FX50/FX30 and the Canon Ixus 850is. I opted for the CANON.
