  1. Dissapointing waste of money

    • Pros: I cannot think of any.
    • Cons: Tragic software, poor quality scanner

    * Very unintuitive, convoluted and unpleasant to use (same on Win2K as XP)
    - sometimes the SW hangs during scan and needs a reboot
    - sometimes the SW crashes with a dialogue "try reinstalling HP software", and needs a reboot
    - sometimes it scans and after conversion to pdf every page is blank, and needs a reboot
    - very occasionally it scans a document properly

  2. Unreliable scanner

    • Pros: Eas of use
    • Cons: Prone to lamp error problems

    High risk to purchase this product. Numerous reports of lamp error. Pretty much makes it a throw away. Buy at your own risk or plan to rplace it every year... I had to after fewer than 100 scans over 1 year. Read Full Review »
