Add to my saved listEverything looks fine on paper. This unit was easy to set up and chugs away tirelessly. The innards are easy to access and clean, paperjams and double feeds (usually caused by staples and glued docs) are resolved in seconds.
The scan speed doesnt seem to match up though. At a meer 200 dpi the scanner will scan ahead about 10 pages then will slow down. It seems as though it fills up its 8meg of memory and has trouble offloading the document to to it's capture perfect 3.0 software... using Usb 2.0 which should easily handle the data.
Im not sure if this is a driver issue but so far I have tried it on 2 machines and have had the same issue. I have also purchased a 20mbps scsi card but it seems to run about 35ppm on that (50ppm using USB 2.0). I have yet to try the 68pin 160mbps portion of the scsi card (cables are hard to come by in australia)
Everything you need to know to find a computer scanner that meets your needs.
