It was stainless steel.
Bad Points
Door opener mechanism broke within days of purchase (Not through any missuse) just pressed the button & bang somthing broke inside leaving the door jamned shut!!

LED display feint & hard to read if other light competition present.

Menu program system clumsy having to press the same sequnce of buttons more than once to get it to work!!

Bulky fan motor unit sticking out of the back, like an afterthought!!

Is very easy to keep clean, looks good and does everything as stated in the advertisement.
Bad Points
If I set a programme to cook something but do something else before starting it, the instructions are automatically cancelled and I have to enter the details again. I have only just bought the microwave so am still having to remember to wait until I am ready to start it.
