Good Points
Well built, with a large hard disc, and enough RAM to make Windows 7 usable. The processor gives it the power of a real PC, in a case the size of an oversize netbook.
Bad Points
4GB of RAM was installed as 2 modules of 2GB. One module of 4GB would been more convenient for upgrading the RAM to 8GB (which can make a worthwhile improvement to Windows 7 operation).
I wish machines of this size and price came with a Firewire (IEEE 1394) port. Eventually some enlightened manufacturer will realise that Firewire connectivity could give their machines a USP at little or no extra cost.

Good Points
Did not get a chance to find any good points as the display did not work and never managed to start the computer up. Send it back and got a HP.
Bad Points
Poor quality item, display did not work from the start. Returned product.

      10 out of 10

Summary: On first inspection, you could be forgiven for mistaking Lenovo's tiny IdeaPad S205 for a netbook. It has the same small footprint and 11in screen that we're used to seeing, but look a little deeper and it's clear this is an evolution of the...

Conclusion: The next evolution of the netbook - it might lack the visual flair of its rivals, but the IdeaPad S205 gets everything else right

    • pcadvisor.co.uk

      8 out of 10

Summary: If you're after something that's easy to carry around but has enough power to deal with tasks beyond the everyday then the Lenovo IdeaPad S205-1038 is well worth considering.

Conclusion: Bridging the gap between netbook and laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad S205-1038 comes in at a very competitive price even if it does lack the raw power of some of the competition. If you're after something highly portable but need to do more than send a few...

      8 out of 10

Summary: The Lenovo IdeaPad S205 is an AMD netbook that shows just how far netbooks have come in terms of PC performance, but also how far they have to go to match ultraportable laptops.

Conclusion: But you can uninstall the unnecessary apps, and overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad S205 shapes up as a very appealing, somewhat consumer-oriented netbook. While it may be a tad pricey for a netbook (depending on where you buy), its superb design features and...
