I owned this laptop, then returned it because the battery failed, and got my money back. I'm actually quite glad about that! Despite a part aluminium chasis the build quality is poor. there is keyboard flex and the touchpad and buttons are horrible.

Summary: The Asus U46SV may be at the heavier end of portable, but it's slim enough to slide into a bag and will be right at home in your office space. It's got enough power to chew through your work and will even tackle some games when you're finished.
Short extract: The Asus U46SV may be at the heavier end of 'portable', but it's slim enough to slide into a bag and has the power to tackle all your office work and even a spot of gaming.
Conclusion: The Asus U46SV may not be as slim and light as the Asus Zenbook UX31 ultrabook, but it's far from bulky and its design will be as welcome in the office as it is in the cafe.

Short extract: An Ultrabook such as the Asus ZenBook UX31 might be the ultimate luxury for frequent travellers with deep pockets, but we suspect most people would prefer to carry a little extra weight and save a few hundred pounds by opting for a traditional ultra-portable laptop such as this Asus U46SV.
Conclusion: A great mid-range laptop that won’t weigh you down when on the move – if an Ultrabook doesn’t appeal, the U46SV is the next best thing
