GB 9
Good Points
Excellent because it is much smaller and lighter than normal SLR cameras but has all the features including additional lens. If you just want to point and shoot the Intelligent Auto facility is excellent but it is equally possible to use on manual and choose your own settings. I have not had it long and it has so many features it will take a while to get to know it.
Bad Points
Pity the Instruction Manual is not a paper one. You need to be able to look at the instructions with the camera in your hand and this is not easy reading from a PC! The touch screen is a good idea but is fiddly to use although you can use the buttons instead.

      6 out of 10

Summary: The G3 is the third generation of a camera that created a new subsection of the digital camera market. These models have large sensors and interchangeable lenses to give the image quality and flexibility of an SLR, but they omit optical viewfinders to...

Conclusion: A highly capable, lightweight alternative to an SLR, but image quality isn't flawless and we miss its predecessor’s more hands-on controls

Summary: The LUMIX DMC-G3 doesn't disappoint when it comes to image quality. It can capture very clear images and it's a fun camera to use

Conclusion: The LUMIX DMC-G3 doesn't disappoint when it comes to image quality. It can capture very clear images and it's a fun camera to use. It's a compact camera that's a lot easier to carry around that a digital SLR, yet it still offers similar functionality.

Summary: Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-G3 is a slightly smaller Micro Four Thirds-based camera than its predecessor, the DMC-G2, but it's no less potent. It comes with...

Pro : Clear image quality ; Very good focusing ; Swift performance

Cons : What you see on the screen is not always what you yet ; Video capturing is choppy

Summary: Shipping with a DSLR interchangeable lens system along with being light and simple to use, Panasonic's new Lumix DMC-G3K camera is a nice little unit, albeit a bit on the basic side.

Conclusion: Overall, I found the Lumix DMC-G3K camera to be a solid and easy-to-operate performer, however at the same time, I wouldn't swing from the rafters espousing its virtues. But if you want a decent, reliable digital camera, the G3 isn't the worst you can do.

Pro : Face detection is supported for up to 15 faces; lightweight; easy-to-operate

Cons : Some basic controls missing; needs a better lens kit and needs a price drop
