Good Points
This a fantastic camera, lovely to hold with loads of features.I love the twin card slots, which mean I can shoot in RAW and JPEG, and the manual overide. The live screen is great.
In fact there is so much packed into this camera it is going to take me quite a while to really feel I know it well, the instruction booklet is 300 pages long, so it is great that there are some people who go onto youtube to explain things as well.
Bad Points
No flash sync for studio flash so you have to buy an attachment; AS15 for about£25, also there is no mains power lead which I would have thought would have been standard, another £50.
The software for retouching is good, I don't know how it compares with photoshop which I have yet to master but for now it willl do.

Good Points
Very well built.

Nice size and therefore easy in the hands.

Amazing sensor and spec so expect with practice amazing pictures.

Beautifully balanced in the hand and on tripod.

Many wonderful features to explore (large user manual will help.

Well placed buttons for quick access in certain modes.

In many ways its more up to date and therefore better value than the D300s.
Bad Points
It depends how you approach this but i guess you could say price although i actually think for what you get, its well priced although has gone up quite a lot due to lack of supply after flooding which is to be expected.

I think perhaps Nikon need to supply a dust case for the camera like they do their lenses but thats a minor point.

Really not much else as it really is a great camera.

      8 out of 10

Summary: The DSLR product refresh cycle in the recent past has gathered momentum at least for the entry-level DSLR cameras. However, the models for the more serious amateur and beginner-professionals are refreshed less often. Canon and Nikon are the biggest...

Conclusion: The Nikon D7000 is really impressive in many ways. It has a few new features that make it superior than the D90 - primarily the larger resolution shooting and the 1080p video recording. Other than that, there are minor feature additions - nothing that...

      6 out of 10

Summary: Updated Full specs, price, sample photos and more. Is the camera many believe to be the Nikon D90 replacement worthy of the crown?

Pro : Good detail cature ; Easy to use ; Good features ; Great new AF system (with right lens)

Cons : LCD screen not articulated ; Needs faster lens to get the best shots ; NX2 software lacking in control

      9 out of 10

Summary: Nikon built the D7000 using a partial magnesium shell (top and bottom) with dust and weather seals. It feels slightly less balanced in the hand than Canon's D60, but this is a minor inconvenience that most shooters won't notice.

Conclusion: Overall, the D7000 is a high-end prosumer camera with some professional aspirations. It’s got great low-light performance, reasonably fast autofocus, and feels pretty good in the hand, though large lenses will alter the balance. The mode dial is a...

Pro : 39 focus points; impressive low-light performance; dual SD slots

Cons : Mode dial moves too easily; could be better balanced

      10 out of 10

Summary: Nikon used magnesium alloy to create the D7000's body and, as a result, it feels like a tank in hand

Conclusion: The Nikon D7000 is a top-notch enthusiast-aimed SLR. It offers great overall image quality and is built like a tank.
