Bought camera for my partner who isn't clued up on camera's. Needed good point and shoot camera that delivered good photos. I have always bought Nikon for myself(DSLR) so followed suit when buying a compact. Good features, easy to use. Would reccommend.

      9 out of 10

Summary: Nikon's Coolpix S4150 is a stylishly svelte snapper that plays host to a neat wide zoom lens, 3-inch touch screen and is replete with Nikon's latest snapping technology. We put it through its full...

      6 out of 10

Summary: Lightweight and durable, the Coolpix S4150 boasts a 3 inch touchscreen and 20 different scene modes.

Conclusion: This is a good camera to sling into a bag or to quickly pack away for the beach, coping well in most ordinary, every day situations. However, using the touchscreen is frustrating for those used to the ease of something like the iPhone, which will be...

Pro : On camera retouching and resizing ; Durable and lightweight ; Good image quality ; Good range of scene modes

Cons : Unintuitive touch screen ; Some menu otions difficult to understand without reference to the manual ; Smile shutter mode only works intermittently

      6 out of 10

Summary: For anyone after a cheap and cheerful snapper, this is one to consider, but take a look at the Coolpix S6150 before deciding what to buy where a small amount extra buys you a better camera.

Conclusion: At £139, the S4150 isn't expensive, but it's only £20 shy of the more capable S6150, which ups both the zoom and the pixel count. We're less interested in the latter of those two metrics, but the extra zoom is worth having.

Pro : Great build quality ; Inexpensive ; Touch screen ; Good colours in photos

Cons : Noise at mid-range ISO settings ; The similarly-priced S6150 dents its appeal
