There are a couple of things that are a small anoyance to an otherwise brilliant buy: It would be good if you could purchase replacement permenant filters. Don't need this just yet, but perhaps when the mesh starts to fray or tear from prolonged use.

It makes good coffee. It doesn't smell burnt plastic as some reviews stated, maybe because we've used it with water only three times before we started using it with coffee as well.

We were looking for a decent-sized, reasonably priced filter coffee maker to replace our old Philips one. This is it! Was a little wary because of previous reviews about plactic smell/taste. We didn't find any issues at all.
