Summary: Toshiba's Camileo SX500 is not a bad little camcorder for its price. It has more than a few imperfections, but both picture quality and selection of features are better than most of its immediate rivals.
Conclusion: In some ways, it is entirely unfair to expect a £175 camcorder to compete with models that are almost twice its price. A more realistic comparison would be cheap pocket video devices, such as the Flip Video Ultra HD and Toshiba's own S20 or H30....
