- Good Points
- Hardware is good quality, apart from sheet feeder tray. Wireless is excellent
- Bad Points
- Linux drivers out of the box are faulty - photo prints do not work with CUPS. Have to use driver from another printer!
When onboard phone, or extension phone connected to it is being used all front panel controls are disabled. Cannot pick phone up if extension is being used eg cant take a call when someone else has answered.
When wanting to change print media, tray has to be removed and altered each time eg double sided printing is really inconvenient.
Brother was made aware of these issues with this machine in September and nothing has been done to sort it which is pretty poor considering its a current product.
Due to the disable of front panel being a major problem in our office, and unable to use phone unless speakerphone button pressed rated very low. If these were fixed would rate it 6-7.
