I wanted a rowing machine, so visited the Manchester store. I was glad I did, as the rower I had in mind was a magnetic resistance one, and all the magnetic resistance ones I tried in store (there were about 10 rowers) gave very poor feedback and feel, and the one I've got (a water resistance one - First Degree S250) is very good - even better than the Concept2 stuff at the gym. I placed an order for an exercise cycle

I placed an order for an exercise cycle then realised that the item ordered was too big for the space assigned. I emailed the store repeatedly to cancel the order using the email address given on their website and also their email contact form, but received no reply or confirmation. We went to the store and found everybody most helpful. They did not rush or push us into buying anything and they were more than happy to show us a range of machines that may have suited us.
We settled for a "Fluid Machine" and an "Eliptical Trainer."

Quick to take your order and money, but if the goods come through damaged, then they don't want to know. We had half a water rower that arrived in a poor packaged state (other half to follow I guess), although we signed for the delivery and stated UNCHECKED, this wasn't good enough.
