BEWARE - I ordered a freeview digital recorder which failed within the warranty period. Only after repeated pressure from me did they promise to refund the full price of the item (so far I have only got a partial refund) but left me about 12 pounds postage out of pocket. I telephoned on a Monday at just after 9:00am to order an item from the MicroDirect store which showed 'call for availability'. Warning - Microdirect seem OK till things go wrong. They are the pits in my opinion. I purchased a portable DVD player with a one year guarantee. Twice I sent it back for operational faults. Just Looking at the bad reviews made me feel not buying from this company but since i have orderd my goods through online and already serviced to my house
the electronic goods came bang on time with excellent delivery service and quality!! microdirect sell cheap computer componets at low price with prompt good service! keep up the work microdirect!

This is an excellent store and I have ordered many pc components over the years. If you compare the prices from here to high st stores like pc world and currys (never buy pc componants from them!!) the savings are enormous, usually half the price if not more.

They used amtrak for delivery who said they did not have the full address. Spent a long time on premium rate telephone sorting this out both with amtrak and microdirect but no one accepted responsibility. These companies have to be viewed as a package and so I would not use them again. Read Full Review »

Very poor service. Ordered an ATI graphics card that broke on delivery. The card was returned straight away however Micro Direct found the card to be in "working condition," and then charged me £15 for the trouble of testing the card and return fee! May 2007. No problems with the order, delivery fine, box devloped a fault after approx 2 weeks, returns service worked fine and a replacement box was sent almost by return and is working fine. Only down side is that it cost me £11.70 to return faulty goods, which basically means I paid that amount more for the box than the advertised price. Read Full Review »
