    The laptop I ordered was a very good price. I did a lot of research before I made a purchase.

    However, I paid for delivery before 12pm(When I had to go out) and the laptop didn't arrive until teatime.(Fortunately, my neighbour took it in) The delivery driver did have an excuse that one of the vans had broken down, but I was dubious to say the least.

    They did not have the laptop I wanted in stock, but offered me an ex-demonstration model at 10% discount. However, manager then refused to authorise discount, and made out he was doing me a favour by letting me have a shop-soiled model for full price. Purchased it elsewhere.
    I have had problems in the past with Comet, particularly over their warranties and will finally stop using them. Read Full Review »

Delivery took several weeks and driver arrived with no instructions to complete installation and could not contact the store for clarification so took the machine away again.     Comet is a very good store and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We bought a an LG vacuum cleaner in October 07 and it went in for repair for the switch on the handle in March 08. We had to wait for the repair being done, which took over a week, and when it came back it had a broken wheel and the switch was still temperamental.     Having bought a TomTom from TheLink which didn't work properly (known problem with the bluetooth feature) and getting zip response from them I visited my local Comet instead.

    Yet again the first one was faulty but unless TheLink, Comet were more than happy to exchange it there and then and I'm now the happy owner of a superb SatNav system. Read Full Review »

    Do not buy from Comets, there after sales service is appauling. You cannot get through to their aftersales helpline, I tried every five minutes for one hour, the line was always engaged!!!!!!Their online help line is just as bad, you type on line to one of their advisers but then they cut you off if you do not reply within two seconds.     Order on line at your peril! I ordered a digital TV recorder and was given a delivery date 12 days from ordering. I took into account the fact it was xmas but then received a huge 11HOUR DELIVERY SLOT! If that wasn't bad enough it didn't turn up at all. Nor did it show up the following day!
