dabs.com is part of the Dabs Group of companies, originally founded in 1987 by entrepreneur David Atherton in partnership with a writer called Bruce Smith (if you've ever wondered the name 'Dabs' comes from the combined initials of their two names). Together, Dave and Bruce launched the first 'Dabs' business - Dabs Press - a publisher of technology books specialising in practical 'how to' guides for the computing marketplace. Although David and Bruce remained firm friends, they went their separate ways in 1990, from which time Dabs was 100% owned by David.

I placed an order with them in March

I placed an order with them in March 2011. I paid extra money for next day and Saturday delivery they failed to deliver on this promise.

Eventually in May they agreed I should get a full refund. It will soon be July and I have still to recieve the refund!

I am currently trying to contact a director or someone in senior management.

If there is no phone number on the site - take my advice don't shop there.

If things go wrong then you are out on a limb.

One of the worst online stores I have come across. They told me my order was delivered when I hadn't got it - impossible to try and contact - you can't phone them and they are useless on email, customer support is terrible, I have had to threaten legal action to get a refund for my order that I never received. I've used DABS in the past and the service has been good. However lately it has been a nightmare. I have been trying to buy two LCD TV's since before Christmas but it seems they are not interested in my order. It has been one thing after another and they are completely unresponsive. I work for BT - and even I can't get these useless beggars to reply. So my utterly useless new phone that they were so quick to take the money for doesn't work. I used dabs before BT took over and it was great but now, well I placed an order for a laptop and 3 days later got an email to say they are not stocking that model any more so I picked another one this time I said my card was refused contacted my bank who said no they had not refused it so I tried again still dabs said it was refused again on the phone to the bank (YES THE BAN...
