I was wary at first of using Empire Direct for a 40" LCD TV and DVD Recorder package purchase, based on some previous poor web reviews. The price was extremely competitive and claimed to be in stock. The most inept and incompetent service I have ever experienced from an on-line or high street retailer. I am still awaiting a washing machine that has now been promised for three different delivery dates.

Having found the exact Fridge Freezer I

Having found the exact Fridge Freezer I wanted (BEKO CDA543FW) I did an online search for the cheapest retailer. Both Dixons and Empire Direct came out the cheapest but Dixons had 0 stock and no idea when they would get some, Empire had stock with 7-10 days delivery.

Some of the worst service I have ever received. I would advise that others go elsewhere and pay a bit extra. I ordered a cooker from them 2 weeks ago and had a failed delivery which I had to call them to find out about, re-arranged delivery for later this week and was told last night that their courier has 'lost' the cooker.
