I ordered an Hitachi TV. Ordering was easy; delivery on time. TV developed a fault after 1 day. Empire would not replace the TV without permission from Hitachi. I had to call Hitachi myself, which I did. Hitachi don't do the job themselves and passed me to a TV repair company in London that do the repairs on their behalf. 3 days passed before the TV was taken away. About a week later after the repair people confirmed that there was a fault would Empire replace the TV with a new one. The repair company then took more than another week to return the TV to me. Only after having the TV back would Empire arrange to send another TV. At that point and after numerous calls to all 3 parties concerned I decided to give up, try to get my money back and go to a regular store. Lesson learnt. Start to finish about 3 weeks. Empire offered me 20 pds as compensation. My apologies to all concerned if I have omitted anything or have forgotton the exact timings involved.
