Do not buy a Philips PHP 20"

Do not buy a Philips PHP 20" widescreen monitor from here under any circumstances.

They do not give its response time on their web page or its actual model number. And guess what? their customer services can't provide any more details than we see on the web site.

The reason for all this lack of information is simple.
Turns out it is really an out of date philips 200W6CS.
The one I so nearly bought said 16ms response time on the side of the box which set the alarm bells ringing in my head.
The specs on the philips web-site state 8ms. Philps confirmed this was an old spec one in an email later.

Think PC World are hoping that since they "can't" provide any more details than whats on their web-site that people go look at the Philips web-site to get the specs, put 2 and 2 together to make 5 and rush out and buy before they realise what they are actually getting.

You can get the pucka 8ms one from several other places for the same price.
