What they don't tell you is that John Lewis Direct and John Lewis operate as completely separate companies and the store are instructed to not assist if you run into difficulties.

Be VERY careful when ordering a washing machine. They DON'T install. This isn't clear on the website. At the time of ordering you have an option of selecting one of their recommended installers. If you miss this (easy to do) it just gets slung through the door by a courier! I would have had to pay £86.000 + VAT to get it installed if I hadn't completely lost my rag.

The price is the same as if you buy from their shop and delivery with installation from the shop is £25.00.

It was a total nightmare and I will go out of my way to not use this site again.

The staff at John Lewis Direct's call centre are rude, unhelpful and everything that you wouldn't expect from John Lewis.
