Oh dear! Things have gone downhill

Oh dear! Things have gone downhill recently. I previously (about 6 months ago) gave Amazon 5 stars overall. Amazon customer service is still excellent, but there has been a serious deterioration in despatch and delivery times. Even selecting 1st Class, I have found Amazon not managing to get items out within 24 hours, which they are supposed to. Select free 'Super Saver' delivery, and things are getting seriously bad. Expect many days (4-5) before they enter the despatch process, and then - prepare to wait for delivery. They used to use Royal Mail for 2nd Class, who I found delivered within 48 hours, but now the've changed to a private courier and my orders have been taking 3-5 days on top of the despatch times. Also the courier often won't use their common sense if you're out, and take items back to the depot. (20 miles away in my case). Aamazon, this isn't good enough. It's quicker to order from the U.S.A. now!!
