I ordered two items for my son's

I ordered two items for my son's birthday - a swing ball set and a reflex soccer set - two weeks before his birthday. The first item, the swing ball set, was delivered by DHL - but not until I call DHL to schedule delivery. DHL claimed that Amazon put a 'hold' on my item, that it was not to be delivered until I called to release it. Amazon claims they never do this. Bottom line, I wouldn't have figured it out until too late if I hadn't been tracking the package and saw it was being held at the facility.

The second item arrived yesterday, almost three weeks after I ordered it. It was dispatched almost immediately through Parcelnet. Unfortunately, there is no way to track Parcelnet packages, contact the company, etc. Several enquires to Amazon about the status of the package provided conflicting information. First, I was told it was being delivered. Then I was told it had been delivered to a neighbor one week prior and that I had to go ask neighbors up to two doors away if they had accepted a package for me. When I found no neighbor had accepted the package, Amazon offered to redeliver the item. Then, the very next day, Parcelnet delivered the package, saying it had gotten lost in their system.

Overall, the delivery process on these items has been awful.
