Customer service has been transferred to

Customer service has been transferred to the Philippines on 0800 496 1081 making it impossible to obtain a resolution on a complaint. I took advantage of the 30 day free trial of Primetime but did not feel it worth the extra money. Amazon, without authorisation, debited my account for £49.00 which was refunded and Primetime cancelled. On 4th November 2008 a further £49.00 was taken from my account without permission. I used the new customer service number explaining I was hearing impaired so speak clearly but the conversation was useless with no understanding. I therefore emailed customer service which also went to the Philippines only to receive an automated response telling me how to use Primetime. Obvious operatives are unable to understand English. I still have not received a refund and, as a pensioner, to have £49.00 taken from a bank account without permission, does cause financial hardship. Amazon have changed from excellent customer service to a very poor service plus use underhanded ways of obtaining money from customers. Be aware and check bank statements.
