I ordered on Fifa09 from play.com on the 09/12/08. Today I went on the website to place a claim only to find that the posted date had been modified from 11/12/08 to 12/11/08, thus I am unable to claim a new copy. So I emailed them for a refund, reason being I found that a bit dodgy!

They sent me a form which I have to fill in and send it to them by mail in order to claim the money back. They say it's in order to claim back from Royal Mail. Anybody whose brought anything and used mail knows its the sender that must claim and not the recipient.
I have replied asking for a refund that if I do not receive I will put a claim in for fraud with visa. It's what my bank has advised me to do. Keep me waiting a month for a product then if I want a refund I have to fill in a form and wait who knows how long for them to perform some sort of investigation. Really poor service. I have no idea how they won best online retailer in which.

I gave them a call, I think I got through to a call centre in India. I asked to speak to a supervisor whose name was Gareth (an Irish bloke I think), he said I had to fill in a missing item declaration form and send it by post. I asked if I could send it by fax but was told there was no fax number. However, I have found a fax number listed to them. I told him I was abroad and it would cost more money to send a letter he said not his problem. He was generally quite nasty really and had a really bad attitude. Furthermore, he is a bit of a liar as he said that the missing item form had to be filled out as stated in the term and conditions, except I can find any paragraph in the terms and conditions that makes a reference to this. Never really experienced this from them before I am really shocked. All I can say is that I won't be buying from them in the future.
