The Appliance Warehouse

Avoid this website at all costs. I recently had the misfortune of buying a fridge/freezer from these people. I knew it was a graded item because I spoke to customer services before ordering. I was told there was slight damage on the right of the appliance so I went ahead as it was to be positioned against cupboards on the right. The delivery was on time and I had paid for a two man delivery as my kitchen is on the first floor. The two man team managed to gouge the walls and wood floors getting the appliance to the kitchen. When I took off the bubble wrap there was damage to the right as promised, there was also damage to the left, the front and more worryingly to the grill at the back through which the coolant runs. There was also no user manual or guarantee nor were there any accessories. I immediately phoned customer services and asked for a refund. A week later the two man team arrived and rode the fridge like a toboggan down the stairs - damaging the walls even more. It is now a week since they collected the appliance and despite several phone calls where I am assured a refund has been put through, my credit card company, whose system works in real time, tell me that no such refund has been made. I have just asked my credit card company to start an investigation and claim the money back from The Appliance Warehouse. Deal with this company at your peril.
