I was advised I would have a delivery in

I was advised I would have a delivery in the afternoon in fact it was not delivered until the evening.

The piece of paper I was asked to sign to confirm delivery stated that the item was opened and was working properly. I remember that the terms and conditions ststed that once this was signed they would not cover the costs for shipping any faulty goods.
