    BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Bought an LCD 42" t.v only lasted 6 months. You can't exchange at the store. Waited week for engineer to tell me what i already know, "ITS BROKE" goto wait now for collection to repair it. Rude, unhelpfull and time wasting about sums up thier customer service.

    "Dear User,

    Well with regards to branch exchanges on TVs of any sort no retailer will do that for yourself. Currys John Lewis Fenwicks Selfridges Sony Centre Indenpendents Stores Tesco Sainsburys Morrisons Asda Harrods as the item is over 6 months old and has to be inspected by an engineer normally from the manufactuerer of the product. If then they redeem the item un-repairable they may sansaction a gift voucher to yourself for a new TV or send you out a new TV through DHL to your front door.

    So dont assume that any shop will exchange things as your own personal request they will not they have to follow guidelines from the manufactuerer.

    Bought a camera, and the second time it

    Bought a camera, and the second time it was ever turned on, presented a deffect on its LCD screen. Took it to the store to have it replaced and was told that the warranty wouldn't cover it, although they couldn't say what caused it?!!     Although Currys Reserve and Collect sounds great in theory the item I wanted (LCD TV) was not available at any store within 50 miles (including all of Edinburgh and Glasgow). The price was one of the best and with no delivery charge I would have been very happy to collect it from my nearest store. However unavailability made the whole scheme useless.     i brought a laptop which after three weeks went for repair and currys lost it in transit it took them four months to admit they lost it. currys have no aftercare service unless you take out an expensive warranty
