DON'T BUY FROM CURRYS! The staff will sell you quickly and efficiently BUT God help you if anything goes wrong! I bought a Toshiba DVD/HDD from them which was obviously not right from the beginning -they did an exchange within their exchange policy but machine 2 wasn't any better. I exchanged it for a Sony on the recommendation of one their telephone team ( a really helpful bloke who was as appalled at Currys as I was.) A few months in it broke down! I couldn't believe the attitude and stupidity of the staff involved. I was told that someone would collect - they didn't, I ended up taking it to the store only to be told it would be up to 28 DAYS! to repair and return! I was looked at as being thick for asking if the warranty would be extended by the same period. Blanket refusal. We have an irobot cleaner which when it broke down was collected on the Monday and returned REPAIRED on the Wednesday. Why can't Currys do the same? I live in Barnsley and the repair shop is in Rotherham ( irobot is in Wiltshire! ) 24 days late it was returned and was still not working properly. In the end I got in touch with Sony direct and within a short space of time everything was sorted. I glad to say that I've managed to divert thousands of pounds away from Currys as I've persuaded family and friends to go elsewhere. NEVER! EVER! EVER! go to Currys!
