Having just had an unfortunate

Having just had an unfortunate experience with ebuyer I thought that I would purchase a laptop from Laskys instead. Their price was competitive and their sales staff were very helpful and it was anticipated that the item would be delivered in time for Christmas. What a mistake: they did not have the item that they sold me! They took the money from my credit card and telephoned me to confirm that the item was in stock at the supplier from which it was being despatched directly to me.None of this was true : their supplier had apparently sold out - a fact that I only discovered when I contacted Laskys, two weeks after the order had been placed, to enquire the whereabouts of the laptop. Laskys had not bothered to inform me that they could not supply and would not be able to supply for at least a further three weeks. Their customer service department was most unhelpful, in complete contrast to their sales department. Deal with this company at your peril - this is the worst online purchasing experience that I have ever had. Needless to say I have now purchased the item (at the same price) from Amazon - much, much more reliable.
