Bought one of these treadmills in June

Bought one of these treadmills in June 2006.

Eventually persuaded two of my kids to put it together....a huge physical and mental project as we needed it on the second floor of our house it was very heavy and not easy to get together.

It never worked because a batch had faulty chips. We were told to fix the circuit board ourselves!!!!???? That didnt work so the thing went back.....a huge effort again dimantling it and getting heavy large bits down 2 flights of stairs. We tried to get our money back as we couldnt face it all over again....but now we have no treadmill and no money as the company ignores us.

The law says that the purchaser shouldnt be put through any of this when the goods are not fit for purpose or not of merchantable quality. The supplier must take the 'strain'. Uk sports imports advertise their way of doing things.....but its against the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as amended....and they know it. They do not have engineers that go out and fix faulty equipment as they should have. They only have an internal service department which isnt good enough.
