We purchased our first cross trainer in January 08 and within weeks the weld on the upright bar had broken. Luckily it started to make quite a noise before it snapped so I was able to avoid a nasty accident. We were convinced to take a replacement machine and although had difficulty speaking with anyone regarding collection and delivery, the broken machine was finally collected and a the new one delivered. After @ 3 months use (3 times per week max) the replacement machine broke down on 27.5.08 but as we found out, the after sales service is non-existent. After several phone calls and emails to the showroom the machine was finally collected on 9.6.08. We have 'phoned every day since trying to find out if the machine will be repaired or replaced and more importantly what the exact fault was. We were promised a call back but surprise...no return calls were ever received. Unfortunately again the non-existent after sales service has been unable to provide a grown up to talk to or any service what so-ever. My husband was told this afternoon (19.6.08) that the machine would probably be despatched next Monday or Tuesday. I phoned again this afternoon and after asking to speak to a supervisor-not available-surprise!, a manager (don't have one)and finally asking for the managing director's name I was told that the machine was irreparable. I tried to get an explanation and told them that this was a replacement for the first faulty machine and that I was not happy with the level of service and wanted a refund. They quickly pointed out that I was not entitled to a full refund as I had 6 months use of the machine despite the fact that I had only had the use of the replacement for @3 months. I have been unable to speak with the salesperson who sold us this machine and have now taken the MD's name (if it's the correct one), will be consulting a friendly solicitor tomorrow and would advise anyone absolutely do not under any circumstances buy anything from this company.
