Thomann are a big, big retailer for Europe. This brings advantages and problems. Mostly it is a good store that I use myself. but I have had problems with their customer service - and the prices they quote for UK products are not trustworthy.
I have been told that Thomann adds on about 5% for exchange rate differences in the UK, though they only tell you this as you place the order. It is not marked up on the website. So what looks like a great deal often is not. Buyer beware!
Returning items is extremely expensive in packing costs, and they have been known to deduct handling fees.
It is almost impossible to buy small items such as picks or cables without getting a massive postage and packing bill. They have a minimum order value for this reason.
If you want my advice, if you live in the UK go to DV247 instead. In the past I have bought items from DV247 for the same price that were being sold in Thomann using the 'price match' promise. DV247 is a UK shop on the net that will sell the same product at at least the same price, and in my opinion will offer better customer care to boot.
I will still use Thomann for goods I can't get elsewhere, but I would rather buy from a shop in my home country. Just my preference.
