I placed an order on tuesday & a week

I placed an order on tuesday & a week later still heard nothing from them. When I rang I spoke to a fairly unhelpful American sounding woman who told me they were waiting for stock of 1 of my items. When I suggested it would be nice for them to email & say it was going to be delayed for those reasons she quite rudely said "well you can cancel if you want".
If I do get it by the end of this week then it will have been 9 working days (they quote 3-6 working days for delivery).
POOR customer service.
