Compant did not tell me my credit card

Compant did not tell me my credit card had been apparently declined, despite the original payment going through successfully acording to their web site. At no stage did they advise me that there was a problem, did not email or phone me of a problem. I actually found out there was a problem after 4 days of waiting for an item, when I called them up and after 5 minutes of dithering on the phone from the person I was speaking to in despatch, I was told that the order did not exist! Need I say more....?!?
