Discount Bicycles Limited

I used this company a few years ago with satisfaction, so ordered a 20" 2007 bike via website 2 days ago. Before ordering I phoned to check availability & was told specific model not in stock, but as it still showed on web they'd honour order with 2008 model.

I also said I wanted to pick up bike myself & arranged pick-up for today at 1pm.

I phoned again at mid-day to check that bike would be available to collect, and agreed to arrive after 2pm, which I did.

When I arrived there was no sign of bike. Instead I was shown an alternative brand because they didn't have 2008 20" version of brand I'd ordered.

When I protested that I'd spoken to them 3 times on phone, including some 2 hours before I arrived at 'shop' & they'd never mentioned that they didn't have what I wanted, so had wasted several hours on a Saturday, they told me not to go on about it. And at one stage told me to stop wasting their time! When I said that it was me whose time had been wasted they told me I was "ignorant".

I then told them I wanted my money back which they duly processed.

I feel very disappointed with such rudeness and poor service and also the lack of 'being straight' with the customer.

There were two other customers, one who had driven an hour to get to the 'shop', both of whom had been promised possibility of picking up bikes which, on their arrival they were being told to wait longer as bikes were not ready.
