Why do they show so little regard for their customer?
Until last week, I was a regular on-line shopper, spending £6000 a year. Sure, I had always had problems with them...40% of deliveries in the first 6 months were cancelled by them because 'the van has broken down'. Always the same excuse. In July I ordered on-line two pieces of flat pack furniture from Tesco via Tesco direct.

With little notice they changed the time of delivery and although I told them I could not be there at that time and tried to cancel, the goods were delivered and left outside my flat.

Although this was the cheapest price we could find for this washing machine, the delivery date in the catalogue stated 3 working days. Washing machine was not delivered in time so I complained by email. Had a very prompt response from Tesco advising of delivery date. someone from tesco online store called me a day after i placed my order telling me that my card was declined when in fact the amount was already deducted to my account. there was nothing wrong with my card but there is something wrong with their system. i got no groceries and have to wait for four days to get my money back. and their staff is so RUDE!!!!!!!!!! Very very poor.

Failed to complete order after delays for over month then cancelled as couldn't get at discounted price offered and hid behind Terms and Conditions saying not their problem.

Also decided to spam my inbox with confirmations a seperate item had been dispatched (received several weeks earlier) When this was mentioned to tehir Customer Service 'team' it was flatly ignore... Read Full Review »

I write in this instanca about my ongoing experience in having a faulty sunlamp collected but Tesco.
Their service is worse than appalling, it's abysmal, in so many different ways.
I had to do all the work to have it collected and after 3 months, I think I've finally succeeded.
