I thought the price good and went ahead

I thought the price good and went ahead secure in the information that, as indicated on their website, the goods were in stock. My credit card was debited the next day with the full amount. After nearly two weeks I had heard nothing beyond the initial acknowledgement, so tried to contact them, initially by email (which elicited no response) and then by phone. The phone number was usually engaged, or left ringing and unanswered, but eventually I got through to be informed that due to a lack of supply at Sony the TV was not yet available and that it would be at least another week before a delivery date could be given. I am unimpressed by this poor level of service combined with misinformation about stock levels and not being informed of the delay and therefore will be cancelling the order under the distance selling regulations.
