My wife and I ordered a fridge/freezer

My wife and I ordered a fridge/freezer from Sainsbury's on 12/08/08. They immediately took our payment but then informed us that the item is out of stock. After 5 weeks of phone calls and emails to Sainsbury's, during which they twice refused to cancel the order as we requested, they were still unable to provide us with the item ordered or a suitable alternative. We therefore cancelled the order (third time lucky) and ordered a fridge/freezer from Asda, which was delivered within 4 days. To give Sainsbury's one star is probably erring on the generous side.
