07.06.05 Purchased a Sharp LCD TV. Delivered on the 16.06.05. Unfortunately the TV was faulty and had to be returned. I am still waiting for my refund. 21.06.05 Excuse 1 - No refund until TV returned/inspected/fault confirmed. A reasonable request and I didn't mind waiting the extra week it took for S&V to make the necessary arrangements. 27.06.05 Got a phone call confirming the TV was faulty and a refund would be issued that day. No refund was issued. 28.05.06 Excuse 2 - Paperwork has to be produced by customer services before a refund can be issued. I phoned customer services and asked them to sort out the "paperwork". This they duly did and assured me a refund would be issued that day. No refund was issued. 29.06.05 Excuse 3 - Customer services only produce the paperwork. Sales issue the actual refunds. Phoned the sales department who confirmed it was they who issued the refunds and that mine would be credited that day. No refund was issued. 30.06.05 Excuse 4 - Hadn't received the paperwork from customer services yet but they would get it later when the accountant was coming in. I didn't even bother to enquire what the accountant had to do with anything as I felt I wouldn't like the answer. No refund was issued. 01.06.05 Excuse 5 - None offered. The guy I spoke to suggested it was customer services who issued refunds. I quickly told him I'd been assured on two occasions it was the responsibility of the sales department. He then said to stop phoning and that a refund may or may not be issued sometime over the weekend. Which is how it all stands. 10 days, multiple excuses and at least 2 evasive S&V sales reps later and I'm still waiting for my REFUND! My advice - If you order from these slippery operators, pray something doesn't go wrong. You should also be aware that S&V will charge you a 15% restocking fee if you change your mind about a purchase. If my TV hadn't been faulty it would?ve cost me ?250. I will post again when I eventually get my money back so folks on Kelkoo have all the facts of my experince at their disposal when deciding whether to buy from Sound & Vision Online.
