These comments seem odd but the reason

These comments seem odd but the reason is that Hughes phoned us the day after ordering to say that the item was not in stock and may not be for some weeks.

The following day we had a call from Hotpoint in Peterborough asking if delivery in two days time would be ok ?
We received a txt about delivery time within 3 hour period and this was fine.

So low marks for Hughes and high marks for Hotpoint.
