what has happened to the instore bakery,it used to be superb,but now the prices have rocketted and the quality has plumetted,especialy the crusty rolls and battons?
I must write to say i was extremly impressed with the Chistlehurst branch of sainsburys. The staff were very polite, and nothing was any trouble for them to find or find out about. I had asked 2/3 different people for a couple of items in the shop that i could not find. They couln't of been nicer to us. Very impressed. My daughter and Son have just applied for a job in Sainsburys Lee Green. I hope that if they are lucky and get a job, its nice to think they would be that helpful to your customers. Thank you Mrs. P. Don't buy kitchen appliances from Sainsburys! The following is a copy of the letter I sent to Sainsburys after they refused to exchange an item bought online as you have only SEVEN days to exchange (even then you are charged 49.99 to collect the item!!). "I am writing to complain about your refusal to exchange one item, a Neff chimney hood, included in the above orders placed when our new kitchen was to be installed. "The orders, totalling over £1200, were delivered before our kitchen project started as we wanted to be certain that the models we had chosen would be in stock, and therefore the dimensions given to the kitchen fitters were accurate. "When my husband called to try to exchange this item your staff then informed him of the seven day deadline. We had assumed that your returns policy was the same as the Tesco online store. This was obviously a very expensive error on our part, as we would most certainly have used Tesco for our purchases if we had known of the very short time for exchanges. "We won't make the same mistake of ordering from your website again, and we have let all our family, friends and, of course, the kitchen fitters (for their future customers) know of your inflexible policy. "I feel let down by Sainsbury's failure to accommodate customers in what would have been a straightforward exchange of items." Their reply, in so many words, was "TOUGH!"
this is the first time i have ever ordered shopping on line from sainsburys and it will be the last.to start with the delivery driver was late getting to me, half of my shopping was missing, all of my fridge food, 6 tubs of fresh soup,and all of my meat was missing.when i rang customer services she promised to ring me back and never bothered so after an hour I had to ring her back and was then told they wouldn't deliver the missing items back to me today and that i'd have to wait until 4pm tomorrow. all i was offered in way of compensation was a £10 shopping voucher which i have to spend at sainsburys. i am absolutely disgusted with the service and will never shop at sainsburys again. nor will any of my family.
Oh my God!! I have just been watching whistle blower on bbc 1 & they go under cover in supermarkets!! well as a mother i am discusted, they showed how out of date meats & fish was sold to unsuspecting customers... this could lead to serious food poisoning!!!! they also showed people in their factorys urinating, then handling food with out washing there hands & the most worring was the meat factory... maggots were found... I am just so discusted, i for one will never be buying anything from sainsburys again!!!
Mixed case of wine ordered for Xmas. Included was a promo taster case offer. Wine Delivered three days late and no promo case. Phoned up and was fobbed off - told it was just a free offer and so of no value. Spoke to Supervisor - was fuming by then - and two cases promised along with refund of delivery. Neither happened!!!! BUY WITH CARE - IF AT ALL
