I have recently orderd A CD from HMV

I have recently orderd A CD from HMV online my advice to you is do not order from them. I spent 35 mins on the phone to them and would not budge from there 10 day rule on delivery they refused to help even though it was my daughters birthday.
they just do not want to help in any way except rip you off on a 0845 number please be aware when ordering from this company you have been warned. Read Full Review »

Overall good. Excellent prices and availability is now generally fine. Dispatch times good, but the Achilles heel is delivery. What is it about delivery that is so difficult? Amazon have slowed terribly, and HMV, who dispatch from the Channel Islands and have never been quick, are taking 5-7 days (NOT the 2-5 days they quote) to deliver. I was hesitant at first as I know HMV can be quite expensive on the high street. However, online seems to be different with prices almost always as competitive as other major e-tailers. I usually always check HMV first for DVDs etc as they are generous with cash back affiliates too.

I always order either specialist dvds

I always order either specialist dvds like ballets or old films. Never current releases. This always requires HMV to do special orders. This is ok if you have the time and in the case I choose they are cheaper with a promotional offer or cheaper. It can take weeks though. For speed and even cheaper at times go else where like Amazon or Play if time is important though. Read Full Review »

I used to use other online sellers steering clear of the main high street retailers. I was looking for an item that I couldn't get at my usual online stores, so I though i'd give HMV a go. They had the item and much cheaper that I expected.
I go straight to HMV.co.uk now.
I can't fault them. The prices are ALWAYS cheaper than instore and delivery is FREE regardless what you order.

Credit where it's due. Last November I criticised HMV Online for their appalling stock situation for classical CD's, and the eternity it then took for HMV to get items back into stock.
